It is with great sadness that we report that Prof. Deb Kumar Ghosh, a former Professor of the Department of Physics passed away in Mumbai on the 21st of July, 2016. Prof. Ghosh retired from the department in 1997. A small memoriam meeting was held in the department on the 2nd of August, 2016 to honour his contributions to the department.
