The Physics Department at IITB occupies a prime position in the academic scenario of the Institute. It is one of a handful of departments whose courses are taken by all undergraduates in the Institute.
The Engineering Physics Programme, started in 1985, was a first in the country. For postgraduates, too, the Department offers a wide range of tried and tested academic programmes.
