So far I have applied the wave-function-based approach to study 1D and
3D systems. However, various two-dimensional (2D) electron systems such as
the surfaces and interfaces also present challenging problems to study.
Therefore, in future, I will extend the computer program to also include
2D periodic insulators such as multilayers, as well as semi-infinite systems
such as surfaces.
