Title: TWO-DIMENSIONAL PHYSICS USING A GAME-CHANGING INDIGENOUS CVD, STM, and PPMS
Speaker: Prof. Deshdeep Sahdev, Director of Quazar Technologies, New Delhi
Abstract: I will describe the syntheses carried out in our lab of various 2-dimensional crystals and their characterization using instruments built from scratch by us. These include hi-end Chemical Vapor Deposition Set-Ups, Scanning Probe microscopes and Physical Quantities Measurement Systems, all operating at internationally competitive standards. The talk will contain insights not just into the relevant scientific and technological issues but into the process of creating a complete ecosystem for research including the development of indigenous scientific computational packages.
