Multifrequency-multinuclear Nuclear Magnetic Resonance formation evaluation Ravinath Kausik Schlumberger-Doll Research, 1 Hampshire street, Cambridge, Ma 02039, USA We introduce NMR relaxometry and diffusometry techniques that are used for formation evaluation using inside out magnets. We demonstrate the optimisation of these techniques and the kind of petrophysical information that can be obtained from them. We will also discuss some of the recently developed novel multidimensional rotating frame based techniques and multi nucleai approaches for fluid typing of especially unconventional shale gas and oil systems.
