Title: Beyond the Standard Model - a roadmap

Speaker: Dr. Jayita Lahiri, DESY, Germany

Abstract: Standard Model is considered the Holy Grail of particle physics. But it fails to answer some important questions. I would focus on the topics I have worked on or am interested in working in the near future. For example, the existence of dark matter, and matter-antimatter asymmetry are still burning issues, SM fails to explain. There has been a relentless effort to postulate various candidates for dark matter, as well as mechanisms to produce currently observed dark matter relic, I will present a brief overview of that. The questions of dark matter, as well as baryon asymmetry, have motivated us to go beyond the Standard Model with extended scalar sectors. I will briefly discuss a few popular scenarios and their novel features. I will also discuss the update on LHC searches for beyond Standard Model Physics as well as LHC measurements for SM physics so far and try to motivate the need to go to future colliders. Finally, I will touch upon my recent works in the aforesaid areas.
