Title: A pedestrian overview of many-body localization
Event Date:
Wednesday, 22 March 2017 - 5:15pm

Abstract:

Anderson localization in non-interacting one-particle states has now long-been studied and is of special interest in the context of low-temperature physics and metal-insulator transitions. In this talk we will discuss about a high temperature quantum phase transition, which is currently of special interest to condensed matter community due to its peculiar nature. The many-body localization is also interesting because it is an unconventional phase transition from quantum entanglement point of view. We will talk in details about the nature of the phase transition and its implication in modern condensed matter physics.
