Title: Gravitational lensing probes of dark matter
Speaker: Dr. Priyanka Gawade, IUCAA
Abstract: Gravitational lensing is a useful probe of the nature and distribution of dark matter in the Universe. Primordial black holes (PBHs), which could have been formed during the early Universe through overdensities in primordial density fluctuations during inflation, are potential candidates for the dark matter. We explore the use of parallax microlensing of Gamma ray bursts to probe the abundance of primordial black holes in the unexplored window within the mass range [10^{-16}-10^{-11}] Msun. We will show the expected constraints on the abundance of PBH from a twin pair of satellites like Daksha.
