Title: Higher order corrections in perturbative field theories
Speaker: Dr. Pulak Banerjee, IIT Guwahati
Abstract: Higher-order corrections in the Standard Model are essential ingredients for precision phenomenology in particle physics. These corrections can be divided into two interconnected classes: fixed order and resummation. After briefly introducing the origin and nature of higher-order corrections, I shall discuss these two classes of corrections in the context of the Standard Model and beyond. Computations of these higher-order terms present many conceptual and technical intricacies, some of which will be highlighted in this talk. Through some of our works, I will try to show how these challenges were handled and thus obtained physically relevant results for different experiments.
