Title: Localizing entanglement in multiparty systems: An overview
Speaker: Prof. Amit Kumar Pal, IIT Palakkad
Abstract: Entanglement has been established as a key resource in quantum information processing tasks. In a multi-party quantum system, a number of protocols exist for quantifying entanglement over a subset of parties. In this overview talk, we consider a measurement-based protocol leading to the definition of localizable entanglement, and discuss its various interesting features including its importance in measurement-based quantum computation. We also touch upon several applications of the localizable entanglement, spanning from characterizing noisy stabiliser states to signalling quantum phase transitions in topological systems.
